AOArose is architecturally committed to your privacy. The Ivory Index was built offline-first
precisely because your most sensitive data — grades, essays, family finances, ambitions —
belongs on your machine and nowhere else. This Policy describes what we collect (very little),
what we do not collect (everything else), and your rights.
Article I
Data Controller
1.1The data controller for the purposes of applicable data protection law is: Imperial Eminence Cyberguard Corporation (IECC), the entity that owns and operates all infrastructure, hosting, licensing, and digital management for The Ivory Index on behalf of AOArose and Voidreign Institute. 1.2This Privacy Policy applies to: (a) The Ivory Index desktop application; (b) the website ivory.aoarose.com; (c) all communications with AOArose.
Article II
Data We Do NOT Collect
The Offline-First Architecture — Scope and Limits
The Software (desktop application): The Ivory Index desktop application is architecturally designed not to transmit student profile data, essays, AI conversations, test scores, financial information, or Local Data to any server operated by AOArose, IECC, or any third party. To the best of our knowledge and based on the current technical design of the Software, no such transmission occurs during normal operation. We do not warrant, however, that unforeseen software defects, third-party runtime behaviour (including Ollama), operating system telemetry, or future updates could never result in unintended data transmission. Users are advised to monitor their device's network activity if they require absolute certainty.
The Website (ivory.aoarose.com): The website is a separate service. It currently loads fonts via Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com), which constitutes a third-party network request that may cause Google to receive and log your IP address and browser metadata. Under the GDPR, IP addresses may constitute personal data. This is disclosed in the Cookie Policy. We intend to self-host all fonts to eliminate this request entirely. Until that update is deployed, the website does not carry the same zero-transmission guarantee as the Software.
2.1The Software does NOT collect, transmit, or share: (a) your name, date of birth, or contact information; (b) your academic records, test scores, or grades; (c) your essays, personal statements, or drafts; (d) your family financial information; (e) your AI conversation history; (f) your application tracker data; (g) any data stored in ~/.theivorry/ or any local directory.
2.2The Software does not use advertising trackers, analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, or telemetry of any kind that would transmit data about you to any third party.
Article III
Data We May Collect
3.1Website Analytics (ivory.aoarose.com): If analytics are ever added to the website, this Policy will be updated before activation. As of the effective date, no analytics are in operation.
3.2Contact Communications: If you contact us at legal@imperialecc.com or edu@imperialecc.com, we receive and retain the content of your communication, your email address, and any other information you choose to provide. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry.
3.3Aggregated, anonymised usage data that cannot identify any individual may be collected in future Software versions. Any such collection will be disclosed in an Update to this Policy and, where required by law, subject to your prior consent.
Article IV
Local Data Storage
4.1All data entered into The Ivory Index is stored locally on your device at ~/.theivorry/ (macOS/Linux) or the equivalent AppData path (Windows). This data is subject to your device's own security controls and is not accessible to AOArose.
4.2You are solely responsible for the security of your device and the protection of data stored thereon. AOArose recommends enabling full-disk encryption on any device running The Ivory Index.
4.3To delete all your data, simply delete the ~/.theivorry/ directory and uninstall the Software. No request to AOArose is required and no data is retained by AOArose following such deletion.
Article V
Third-Party Data Processors
5.1Ollama: The Software uses Ollama to run AI models locally on your device. Ollama operates entirely on-device. Your data is not sent to Ollama's servers. Review Ollama's privacy policy at ollama.com for information about the Ollama runtime itself.
5.2Google Fonts: The website ivory.aoarose.com currently loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may log your IP address when serving fonts. We intend to self-host fonts to eliminate this. In the interim, refer to Google's Privacy Policy.
5.3AOArose does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for commercial purposes.
Article VI
Your Rights
6.1Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights: (a) Right of access — to obtain confirmation of whether we process your personal data; (b) Right to rectification — to correct inaccurate data; (c) Right to erasure — to request deletion of your data; (d) Right to portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format; (e) Right to object — to object to processing of your data; (f) Right to restrict processing — to request that we limit how we use your data.
6.2Since virtually all data is stored locally on your device and AOArose holds no copies, many of these rights are exercised by you directly through your own device (e.g., deletion by removing the ~/.theivorry/ directory).
6.3To exercise any right regarding data held by AOArose (such as contact emails), submit a written request to legal@imperialecc.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Article VII
Children's Privacy
7.1The Software is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete such information.
Article VIII
Data Retention · Security · Contact
8.1Contact emails and correspondence are retained for a period of 2 years from receipt, after which they are permanently deleted unless required to be retained for legal purposes.
8.2AOArose implements reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect any personal data it holds. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
